WYDE Foundation · 501(c)(3) public charity

We turn attention into meals.

Restaurants give meals. Creators bring the audience. Companies and people give cash. Together we move food to people who need it.

How it works

Social media, put to work for good.

Social media holds the world's attention. We point that attention at hunger.

Step 1

A restaurant gives meals

2 meals or 100. All quantities help.

Step 2

A creator shares the story

The creator gives the meals to people who need food, and shows the audience how to help.

Step 3

The audience joins

Viewers give, restaurants offer more meals, and the cycle starts again.

Restaurants

Give meals. Get a tax receipt.

You make the food. A creator collects it and gives it to people who need it. We give you the written receipt that the IRS requires for donated food.

  • The creator thanks your restaurant by name.
  • You claim your receipt online in 2 minutes.
  • You follow your claim and download the receipt with a claim code.

Creators

Two ways to use your audience.

Your audience is the engine. Choose the route that fits you.

Route 1

Tell the story

Make content about hunger and about WYDE Foundation. Show your audience how to help.

Route 2

Serve the meals

Collect meals from a restaurant. Give them to people who need food. Film it, so your audience sees the result.

Questions

Answers.

Is my donation tax-deductible?

Yes. WYDE Foundation is a 501(c)(3) public charity (EIN 41-4616267). Donations are tax-deductible to the extent the law allows.

How do I get a receipt for a money gift?

Our donation processor emails the receipt when you give. Email [email protected] if you have questions.

My restaurant donated food. How do I get a receipt?

Send a claim on the receipt page. We examine it. Then you download the receipt with your claim code.

What value does the food receipt show?

None from us. Under IRS rules the donor sets the value of donated goods, not the charity. You can enter your own cost and value, and the receipt shows them as your figures. Your tax advisor calculates the deduction.

I am a creator. How do I take part?

There are two routes. Tell the story of the cause to your audience, or collect meals from a restaurant and give them to people who need food. Email [email protected] to start.

Does the creator advertise my restaurant?

No. The creator thanks your restaurant by name. Your gift is a donation, not paid advertising, and that is why it can get a tax receipt.

How do you use the funds?

Grants go to four focus areas: financial literacy and education, community development, poverty and hardship relief, and health and well-being. On-chain records let donors follow the funds through the WYDE platform.

How are WYDE Foundation and WYDE related?

WYDE Foundation is the 501(c)(3) charitable arm of the Wyoming Decentralized Exchange Association. wyde.org is the platform. The Foundation funds charitable causes that build on it.

Can my nonprofit apply for funding?

Yes. See Apply for support.

Do you accept crypto?

Not yet. We plan to accept EAT and major tokens. Email [email protected] and we will tell you when it starts.
